I recently invested in five stocks on December 16, 2009. These stocks included Target, Verizon, Coca-Cola Enterprise, Yahoo, and Dell. For each stock I was given $2,000 and I bought as many shares as I could for each of these.
Of the stocks that I invested in, four out of the five increased in price. The one loss I did have was in Verizon. The other four roughly gained about $0.50-$1.75 a piece.
I believe that Target increased in value because of the Christmas Season. Many customers buy things from Target because it has a variety of gifts.
Over all I believe my portfolio did very well. I enjoyed watching my stocks increase and decrease in value. It was a great experience and I'd do it again.
