Stock Project Posts

Students in the inaugural economics class examined the stock market and investing after a great visit from financial manager and CEO Vern Sumnicht of Sumnicht & Associates of Appleton. Mr. Sumnicht talked about starting your investment and financial portfolios early, as soon as you start earning money, to prepare for the future. Our students got a taste of this in a simulated portfolio project. They each "invested" $10,000 in five stocks, and monitored them over one month. What follows are their summaries of each of their portfolios, with a reflection on what they would do differently if investing with real money!
