Land is a very useful resource all over the world. In some countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and South Korea, they do not have enough good land or water to feed their native people, so they started to look outside their boarders. They said, "If we can't grow our own food, we'll grow it somewhere else." I think the innovation of renting countries will have a big effect in some countries but not others. This is because some countries already have good resources, meaning they will not need to rent. This is mainly targeting countries with low resources. I personally do not think it will be the new "it" item in America, but in other countries like South Korea, it will be. This is because in America we have far more soil and resources than other regions and countries. I as an individual cannot rent a country because of lack of money and I have no reason to. However, other companies like U.N's Food and Agriculture Organization will have some use.
