Eco-Friendly Plastic by Drew H.

A revolutionary new plastic has just been developed by Novomer will soon change the way we deal with carbon dioxide. This plastic is able to contain large amounts of the gas and store it without leaking back into the environment. Instead of making regular plastics, which are made of oil, this one cuts down on the flammable substance and replaces most of it with carbon dioxide. These plastics will be utilized the same way as the former plastics. Also, this polymer can be recycled while still holding in the CO2. I believe that this will be mostly bought by industries to help get rid of their carbon dioxide emissions, but there is a potential for popularity among consumers. Some versions of the plastic are already in use today and more are expected to come out in the next year or so. I think that in due time, this polymer can allow companies all over the world to produce goods without releasing too much waste into the atmosphere. I would most likely buy this product; but in a car or in something else using plastics. This could be the turning point into a cleaner and brighter world.
